From a small artisan workshop founded in 1920 in Cantù to today's international presence: the history of Riva 1920 is a journey spanning more than a century, built on passion and an unbreakable bond with nature. Under the leadership of Maurizio Riva, the company has transformed the tradition of cabinetmaking into a manifesto of sustainable design. Alongside wood from planned and controlled felling, Riva 1920 introduces reused woods such as ancient Kauri from New Zealand, Briccole from the Venice Lagoon, Lebanese Cedar, and wood from barrique barrels. Each wood is crafted to enhance its natural characteristics, free from any harmful substances and using only beeswax or pine oil-based finishes, guaranteeing products that are safe for both humans and the environment. The use of FSC-certified wood, reused timber, the absence of formaldehyde, and natural finishes make every Riva 1920 piece of furniture a truly eco-sustainable design object. A piece that exudes nature and preserves the natural characteristics of wood.Riva 1920
